DAIRY PRODUCE REPORT. Messrs E. Griffiths and Co. are in receipt of the following butter market report from their London principals, Messrs Mills and Sparrow, dated October 6: Trade all round is a little quieter, buyers seeming to have satisfied their requirements for the time being. The weather has been mostly bright and fine, with ft lower tempera turo than last week. Danish: The quotation has been raised six kroners. This came as a great surprise. Both buyers and agents were expecting a three-kroner advance, to include the over-price which was being offered and paid in many cases to different dairies. Siberian: Arrivals are again larger, and in all amount to about 1(1,000 casks. Business has been quiet, and there is quite a fair quantity left, unsold. Irish: The strike being over, butter has come forward more freely. The quality, however, is very irregular, some lots coming to hand being quite stale, and anything that is not up to the finest standard does not find a ready sale. Australian: We have had the Omrah and Wilcannia on the market this week. The quality of the Wilcannia's butter was not quite so good as that of the Omrah's, but. all the same, there has been an eager demand to secure the few fresh butters, which have cleared off at slightly higher prices than hist week. Xew Zealand: It is reported that there ai e about 20,000 boxes leaving this week, and buyers generally are glad to get this news. Cheese.—The market continues firm, although sales are in small compass.
