STARVING HORSES. By Telcpraph—Press Association. Wellington, Monday. Fines ranging from Cl to £b, with eostw, with the alternative of seven days' imprisonment, were imposed on several persons at the Magistrate's Court for starving horses in the Upper Hutt district, it was staled in one case that no fewer than nine horses had died of starvation.
