FRENCH RAILWAYS.
COMPANIES AND THE STATE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Paris, November 12. Five lending railway companies have protested against the Government Bill providing for the nomination by the State of directors and the submission of wages and rates for State approval. They decl.ire that the Bill removes the management from them, but loaves the responsibility with them, and that if the Bill is parsed the companies will demand the State acquisition of the lines.
