The Auckland wool brokers met this morning and decided not to send a representative to the conference at ClirisTchurch in connection with the dispute on the subject of the conditions of sale requiring cash on delivery, as their views on the subject were made known eighteen months ago and they are not prepared to compromise. Foreign buyers will attend or be represented at the Auckland sales opening on November 22. HEAVY WEATHER AT KAIPARA. Auckland, Saturday. Owing to the westerly gale and heavy Bea on the Kaipara bar, the steamer Ihumata, bound for Sydney, lias been delayed since Thursday. At a meeting of the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand held yesterday afternoon, a motion was brought forward by the president (Mr. F. Castle) that an inquiry be made into the circumstances of the reported' conviction, at Waihi, of a chemist for illegally keeping liquor for sale, with a view to considering whether an application should be made to the G-overnor-in-Council to erase the name of this chemist from the pharmaceutical register. It was keenly discussed, and finally carried on the "casting vote of the chairman. Mr. C. W. Neilsen has been authorised to proceed with the investigation, and the chemist concerned will be a*ked to attend a further meeting i of tlie board, which will go into the matter, or to forward any statement or evidence he may wish to submit. WANGANUI A. AND P. SHOW. Wanganui, Saturday. The entries for the Wanganui Agricultural show constitute a record, there being nearly a 50 per cent, increase in horses, cattle, sheep, and dogs over those received last year. The dog entries alone total 1250, which easily constitutes an Australasian record. The horses total 030. There are competitors from I all over the Dominion.
