(From Our Own Correspondent). Messrs. Kenningtoa and' Sander, the sitting members for the Xgatima.ru riding of the Clifton County, were returned at Wednesday's election. Mr. A. Rower, a new candidate, headed the iioU for Mokau riding, Mr. C. O'SuHivan. representative for many years, being the other successful candidate. Mr. A. H. Haleombe was returned »s the Clifton representative for the Hospital Board l>y a targe majority, beating the sitting member, Mr. C. OSullivan. i The wet weather spoiled very considerably the garden party held by the local Temperance F.odige, The rain waited just long enough to allow the numerous competitors to reach the grounds of Mrs, Junes, when down it ■came,' spoiling tho day's amusement. Some of the tioral entries were exceedingly trood. The Waitara Municipal Jit ml enlivened proceedings. The bowling green was officially opened yesterday, but the weather' spoiled its success.
