A busy .-t.il)' (if workers are now adding .the final touches to the show ground appointments at the Egmont A. & P. Society s enclosure. so as to have everything in readiness for the opening of the show mi Wednesday next. The list of entries, though not quite up to last year, are entirely satisfactory. For show stock we have experienced one of the worst sea-mis for some time. Rough weather and shortage of grass have been disastrous for getting stock into condition. and right down the coast breeders have met with the same experience. The A. & I'. Association were unfortunate in thai, having made their dates a fortnight earlier, they have struck an exceptionally late season. The list of entries proini-e., jo provide one of the most attractive exhibitions yet held under the Society s au-pices. as quality is a predominant feature. I'ndcr favorable weather conditions this year's show will, without, doubt, he a gnat success. The important section-, of the show cattle, sheep and hor-es, compare favoralilv with previous \ears, and the reputation the di-lrii:t po-se.sses as a breedin.: centre eii-urcs impressive exhibition. I here will be splendid competition in some of the chief- cattle (notably ■ler-eys and Ayr-hiresi and horse sections. Other events are well patronised, am! a highly spectacular display must be the outcome.
