The Trevascus murder mystery continuef, to baffle a whole army of police and detectives. The onlv clue is a statement by a lady in the shop beneath Trevascus' room that on Tuesday a welli dressed young man called on Trevascus. 1 She heard a bump, but took no notice. ' She saw the man afterwards, and he appeared agitated and trembling. She did not attach any importance to the fact until informed of Saturday's discovery. Trevascus is described as a "eantangkerous" man, having many enemies.' Exactly what profession he followed is not ? , stated., He appears to., have, dealt in precious metals. A medical examination fevealed that there were nine distinct wounds on the head. A MYSTERIOUS CALLER. THE MAN FROM EMU PLAINS. Received 7. 1.15 a.m. Sydney, November 0. The police have found a letter in Trevascus' room, signed "Fisher." purporting to come from Emu Plains, stating he would call at !).30 on Monday night to see deceased. A neighbor who was with him at that time says a man called, but on seeing him declined to come in, saying he forgot his bag, and would call later. He did not come again that night, Trevascus was nervous, and pressed the neighbor to stay till a late hour. The police are unable to trace anyone by'the name of Fisher at Emu Plains. > ; - S
