The Enginedrivers aiul Firemen's Association has sent an ultimatum to ihi* proprietors of Mount Lvell mine that the drivers and firemen will work to-day if not granted the terms set out in Justice Higgins' proposed award; also the motor drivers and electrical workers, unless they receive the terms pro- ■ posed in the award granted to the | Broken Hill men. Neither engine-drivers ! nor miners will return until granted the following terms: Recognition of the union, the eight hours principle, an increase of wages, a conference with the directors, and an agreement signed by the directors and union officials. The secretary of the Engine-drivers' Union states that the claim for the reinstatement of White has been dropped. MEN RESUME QUIETLY. Sydney, November 6.
