SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. I Wellington, Last Night, j The Meteorological Office has issued! the following summary and forecast: —j iA cyclonic disturbance has passed over the country, with the lowest pressure about Cook Strait, on Saturday evening. High and squally southerly and southeasterly winds were followed by heavy nin fa puis, especially om the East Coast, but* the intensity pf the storp •oon decreased, probably taring to the influence of a westerly area of low pressure shortly due in the south. Present indications are for cloudy and unsettled weather generally, with rain in many parts of the country, variable winds, moderate to strong westerlies predominating and barometer probably falling Main everywhere after about sixteen hour*.
