PEDIGREE CATTLE SALE
BIG PRICES FOR HOLSTEINS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston N., Last Night. Messrs. Dalgety and Co. held a sale of pedigree Holstein-Fresian, Ayrshire and Polled Angus cattle on the show grounds today. There was a large attendance of buyers from all parts of the Dominion foi all classes of stock offered, and they met with keen competition. The following is a detailed list of vendors and purchasers of various animals:— HOLSTEINS. On account of Mr. W. I. Lovelock— Isabel of Clifford, SOgns, Mr. Lcith' Woodlands (Otago). Inka de Kol of Cliffside, 52gns, Mr. E. C. Banks (Hamilton). Toddies de Kol, 50gns, Mr. 11. Tankor (Marlborough). Heifers: Toddies Favorite, 41gns, Mr. W. Cole, jun (Waitara). Curlef of Clifford, 57gns, Mr. Gill Wat (Cambridge). Hutchmaid, 50gns, Mr. N. Neilson (Taikibahuna). On account of the Government Experimental Farm, Weraroa:— Rajah, 140gns, Mr. C. Hopping (Cashmere Hills, Chjistchurch). The sale was a remarkable proof of the increasing vogue of Holstebs, many prices realised being far more than double the reserve placed upon them.
