RIFLE SHOOTING
NEW PLYMOUTH v, KAITAKE. The recently formed New Plymouth Defence Rifle Club fired a match on Thursday afternoon at the Rewa Rewa' range against the Kaitake Rifle Club. The conditions were eight men aside, seven shots each at 200, 500 and 600 yards, and the match resulted in a win for the local team by G5 points. Some good shooting resulted, despite j. the stiff breeze. Riflemen Winslade and 1 Bruce each made 100. Rifleman Sapling, with 06, was top scorer for the visitors.
