I SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Lost Night. The Meteorological Office has issued j the following weather summary and fore- J cast:—The barometer has fallen every-, where, with westerly breezes generally and fair to cloudy weather, warm and hazy in most parts of the country, but drizzling ram has fallen in Otago. Present indications are still for a falling barometer, but a rapid rise will probably take place, with a decided change shortly in the weather, especially on the east coast of both islands, where strong southerly and south-easterly winds are to be expected. In the meantime moderate and variable winds, with hazy weather generally, but misty and showery conditions continuing in southernmost ditsricta
