NEWTON KING'S WEEKLY REPORT. On Friday. October 27, I held by annual bull fair at .Stratford and had a jrood attendance, considering the boi§terous weather. Only about three-quar-ters of the entries came forward, and the quality throughout was only fair. Bidding was bri.sk for the Shorthorn and Jersey bulls, but the second grade cattle were very slow. Only one Holstein bull was entered and realised ,£l3 os; Shorthorn bulls, from £7 to £l3; Jerseys, £a to £!>; yearling do. £2 15s to £3; Ayrshire bulls, £5 17s (id to £0 os. I am holding a supplementary hull fair on November fi.
At Urenui on Monday, 30th. I had a large entry and a good attendance of the public. Bidding throughout was good and practically everything was sold before the end "of the sale. On the same day at my springing lioifer vnnls I had a good entry, though the bidding was not so brisk us at remit sales. Ciond heifers and cows sold well, though second grade stock was hard to quit. At Stony River on "Wednesday all available pens were tilled and there was a large attendance of the public. Bidding was only fair, but good business resulted during the day.
