Brewiusl (Christehyrch) 1, Mavis Hall (Wellington) 2, .Stella Cairns (Masterton) and Hazel .lellrey (Island Ray) er|ual, 3. Scotch song. lady or gentleman, own selection.—Mrs. Lewis (Wanganui), "liobiu Adair." 1; Miss Pacey (Dunedin) 1 "Twine ye tae .me," ■>■ IMi-s Lyons (Auckland) "Within a mile o' Kdinboro' toun," and Mr. W. Aspinnll i Auckland); "Annie Laurie," equal, Contralto solo, for competitors who have never received a fee, "Fascination" (l)essauer). — Roy P. Livingstone (Christchurch) 1, Miss Iva Symes (Wanganui) 2. Tlie judge said'the winner gave a very refined reading. Her voice was nicely balanced and showed much better feeling for rhythm than the second prize-winner, though her voice was not quite so good. Duet, gentlemen, "Watchman, what of the night?" (Sargent),—W. Aspinall and 0. E. Farrow (Auckland) 1, W. E. Saunders and R. Orr (Lower Ilutt) 2, H. V. Wood and D. Lillicrap (Wellington) 3.
