Criminals attempting to escape from the Borsov prison at Minsk killed a warder, seized his revolvers and keys, find liberated 105 prisoners. They exchanged volleys with the warders, two criminals and one warder being killed. The ringleaders have been put in irons.

Cholera has broken out in the cantonment of the Royal Scots and Northern Regiment at Benares. Eighteen cases have been reported and five deaths have occurred in twentv-four hours.
