HOMING

EAST END CLUB. Tho New Plymouth East Flying Club held two races during the past week. The first event was a flock race from Ongarue, in which 52 birds competed, representing eleven lofts. The result was as follows:—R. Davy's "Seawave," i 2hrs 21tnin, 1; C. Cutler's "Excelsior," 2hrs 22min 30see, 2; W. Kisby's "Lapwing," 2hrs 22min 55sec, 3; 11. J. Moverley's "Hiawatha," 2hrs 23min lOsee, 4. The second event was a flock race from Wellington,, a distance of 180 miles airline. Thirty-nine birds representing eight lofts participated in the event, with the) following result:—W. Roeh's "Arclight," i shrs 35min, 1; W. C. Bransgrove's I "Santa," shrs 35min ,45sec, 2; W. H. Boulton's "Pompey," shrs 35min 55sec, 3; C. Cutler's "Sunshine," shrs SGmin osec, 4. The next event will be the champion cup interval from Wellington.
