Hegarty (Australasian champion) in a six-round go to-night at the Sports Club tournament. .Maxwell easily outfought his opponent who was saved by the gong, and he showed better work as a fighter in three of the six rounds. Maxwell put up a particularly sporting fight, and the decision was not popular.
