i SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Office weather summary and forecast is as follows: Northerly and westerly winds, strong to gale, hare prevailed, with gloomy and wet weather generally. The barometer has fallen everywhere. Present indications are for rain in all parts of the country. The barometer will probably fall for a short time, but a rise is due in the south within from twenty-four to thirty-six hours, when winds will change to southward and increase, with colder weather. Strong northerly and •westerly winds are probable in the meantime, though a temporary lull in parts is due to low pressure areas somewhat neutralising each other.
