SHOOTING.
POHOKUKA DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB. A shoot was hold on Saturday last on the Pohokura range, when the members of the above club fired for a handsome trophy kindly presented by Mrs. Osborne for competition. The scores Show a decided improvement 011 those of a few months back, and, taking the disadvantages of the range into consideration, compare very favorably with scores made by other young clubs. Rifleman Sandagger carried off the prize with a total of !)2 oir tho rifle, Rfm. White tied with him, but was counted out. Rfni. Stockley made the possible at 500 yards, and was duly honored. Rfm.
