ENTERTAINMENTS

KING GEORGE CORONATION HALL. The Egmont Road people are very much in earnest in their endeavor to assist in the erection of the Agricultural Hall in Xew Plymouth, and expect a big gathering to-morrow night at the concert in aid of the funds. A capital programme has been arranged, and a party of the Xew Plymouth performers will assist in the concert, the arrangements for which are on novel and attractive lines. 'Buses are advertised to leave the centre of the town at times to be seen on the front page.

SAUNDERS' PICTURES. A REMARKABLE FILM—"ZULULAND* [ The enterprising proprietor of Saun- j ders' Pictures has secured another wonderful Selig production to present to the Whiteley Hall patrons. The outcome of the extended and additional studios, increased facilities, reorganisation and en-; dorsement of stock companies, the giant I transport of animals and actors for thousands of miles by the Selig Polyscope Company, is showing itself in the I novel and remarkable films now being released by the company, practically every one of which is a top liner; but certain subjects stand out above the rest, excellent as they all are. Such was "Survival of the Fittest" and "Back to the Primitive," but even that fine quality and stirring story has been eclipsed by the latest production, "Zululand." Throughout danger and realism are closely entwined. Selig's great menagerie is extensively drawn on to supply animals for the picture. The scene of the story is again laid in South Africa, and the scene depicting the prowling wild beasts around the camp fires at night is one of the finest wild animal studies anyone would care to see. The new programme includes another picture of more than usual interest, an American Biograph film. "Fighting Blood." This picture caused a furore in Wellington and Auckland, and we have no doubt it will further enhance the Biograph Pic-; hires' popularity in Xew Plymouth. The \ other items include the latest Pathe Ga- I zette and the Warwick Chronicle, "Un- \ der the Union Jack," and also dramatic, I scenic and comedy items.
