Mr. Thomas, organising secretary of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants. >;tvs that the railway report is bitterly disappointing, and that none of the nun's leaders have a good word for it. Mr. Burt. M.l'., declares that the report makes for peace. In the matter of recognition the men have gained an important point. Mr. Williams, secretary of the Amalgamated Society, states that the report is destructive of collective bargaining. Some of the railway managers are >ur|M'ised at. the recognition of collective bargaining in any form, but do not anticipate the companies will reject it.
