FALSE TICKETS
A TRAMWAY SWINDLE. By Cable—Frees Association —Copyright. Received 23, 12.35 a.m. Ottawa, October 22. The arrest of Charles Warren, a car conductor, of Winnipeg, has exposed a gigantic plot to swindle the tram company by means of bogus tickets printed in London, ostensibly for the purpose of a toy excursion railway.
The authorities at Scotland Yard unearthed the swindle. The company has not yet ascertained its losses.
