It is officially stated that Sir Francis Hopwood and Sir Charles Lucas have resigned the secretaryship and registrarship respectively of the Order of St. Michael and St. George. The King has directed that these be hereafter held, ex-ofiicio, by. the permanent Under-Secretary of the Colonies, with a Senator Assistant Under-Secre-tary for the Colonies.
