L. A. NOLAN AND CO.'S REPORT. Poultry.—On Saturday we had an v\tr:i heavy entry, nearly 800 birds hAng penned. Ducklings were in good supply and found a good, market. Prices show a big advance. Other birds realised late rates. We quote:—Hens, fat, 13 lid to 2s 4d; ordinary, Is 8d to Is lOd; cockerels, 2s 4d to 2s Gd; roosters, Is lid to 2s 7d; ducks, Is lOd to 2s 4d; ducklings, Od to Is 4d, according to size; broods, 6s 9d to 10s; pair White Rocks, Cs Od; Guinea fowls 3s 4d. In the mart we offered a large quantity of first-class furniture, which attracted buyers and satisfactory prices resulted. Fruit. —During the week there has been very little offering. All lines submitted have found a ready sale. We quote:—Apples, American Gravonstcins, His 3d; Nelson Washingtons, 10s to 10s (id; oranges. 14s Od to 15s Od; new potatoes, 2y 2 d per lb.

WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. -; Poultry.—At the mart on Saturday we had a large entry of all classes of poultry. Prices were well maintained, and table birds were in good demand. Prices as under:—Hens, 2s 2d to 2s 7d; p.b. White Rock pullets, 2s 9d to 3s; cockerels, 2s fid .to 2s 9d; ducks, 2s 3d to 2s <kl ducklings, 8 1 / 2 d to Is Dd, according to age; chicks, Od; pair p.b. Black Orpingtons, 8s 9d; broody hens, 2s lOd. Furniture sale.—On Wednesday, on account of a gentleman and Mr. J. Hayden in the" Masonic Hall, we held a clearing pale of all their furniture, etc. There was a large attendance of the public, and bidding throughout was spirited, and each line offered met with keen competition. Fruit. —During the week this has been in short supply, consequently each line offered met with a ready market. We quote:—Bananas, green, 14s to 15s; ripe, 3d per lb; Sydney oranges, 10s Od to 12s Od; mandarins, lis to 12s; lemons, 3s 9d to ss, according to size and quality; apples, Sturmers, 14s Gd .to los; cookers, Washingtons, lis Gd to 12-; green peas, Is 4d to lis Gd per peck.

LOCAL MARKETS. Butchers' Meat. Beef: Sirloin, Cd; prime ribs, sd; rump steak, 8d; beef from 3d to Cd; corned beef, 4d ana sd. Mutton: Legs 6d; chops, 6d; loin, sd; shoulders, 5d per lb; necks, 3d. Veal, 3d to 5d per lb. Sausages: Beef, sd, pork Bd. Lamb: Legs, Cd; forequarters, 4s 6d; hindquarters, 5s Od. Pork: Fresh, 6d per lb. Fowls, 5s to 6s per pair; ducks, Og per pair. Dripping, Cd per lb. These prices are for cash only; y 2 d per lb. for booking over cash prices charged by New Plymouth one week. General Groceries.—Rolled oats and oatinn, lOd bag; oatmeal, 3s Od per 251b bag; flour, roller, 1001b, lis 3d, 501b Gs, 251b 3s 3d.

Cereals, etc. —Oats, Cartons, 3s Cd per bushel, Duns 3s 9d, crushed oats 3s 9d, barlev, 3s 6d; crushed beans, 5s Cd; pollard "7s 3d per lflOlb, 14s per 20Wbs; bran, <ss per 1001b; fowl wheat, 4s Cd per bushel; maize, 4s per bushel.
