I TIIAM CONDUCTOR'S APPEAL 1 DISMISSED. By Telegraph—Government Memo. Dunedin, Last Night. The Tramway Appeal Board has dismissed an appeal by j'ohn Fit/.patrick, conductor, against his dismissal. Mr. Belcher, representative of the Tramwavs Union on the Board, dissented from the decision. A DISOBEDIENT APPRENTICE. C'hristchureli, Last Night. In the Magistrate's Court this morning an apprentice at Aldington workshops was charged with having disobeyed the orders of the foreman. The youth was engaged in chipping brasses and placed a board in front of him to prevent the chips flying about. The foreman ordered him to remove the board. He declined. The magistrate said the ease should not have come before the court, fr ought, to have been dealt with by the Department.
