OVERDUE VESSELS.
STEAMER AXD SAILERS. By Telegraph— Press Association. Auckland. Last Xight. Although four and a half days out from (Jisborne, the Union Company's steamer "Squall" has not yet arrivd. The vessel left Ciisborne at midnight last I'l'iday for Auckland, via Toloja Lay, and in the ordinary course should hive arrived here on Saturday night or early on Sunday morning. The steamer Victoria passed'the Squall in the vicinity of ilercury Hay on Sunday morning. On several occasions lately ' the Squall has made protracted pa-sages, but the present one is much longer than any of her previous trips. The Koutunu and Kahn. of thr Richardson line, are also making long passages from the south., while the Italian ship Australia is .fifteen days out from Wellington to Auckland. The Imrqucntine ..Maro (iabnr is now forty days out from Whangape to Sydney, but it is not considered that there is any cause for alarm. Long voyages of sailing vessels are -frequent.
