H.R.H. the Duke, of Connaught was welcomed to Quebec and sworn in as Governor-General of the Dominion of Canada. ENTHUSIASTIC RECEPTION. Received 16, 12.25 a.m. Ottawa, October 15. Great enthusiasm marked the arrival , of H.R.H. the Duke of Connaught, whose first official act was to sign an Order-in-Council providing for by-elections due to Cabinet appointments.
