AFFAIRS AT LITHGOW. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, October 14. Strike affairs' at Lithgow are at a standstill. Ample, funds arc being received by the strikers. RINCLEADERS SENTENCED. Received lu, 5 p.m. Sydney. October 15. The trial of the Lithgow strike leaders lias concluded. Bathurst, Scully. Hayes and Williams were found guilty of participating in a riot. Cooper and Kennedy were found not guilty. In the eases of Cains and Dixon the jury failed to agree, anil sentence was deferred. THE MT. LYELL DISPUTE. Melbourne October 14. The Mt. Lvell Company has been notified that the engine-drivers will be called out .to-day unless the demands are eonceiled. This means shutting down the mine. Received 16, 1 a.m. Melbourne, October 15. Mt. Lyell engine-drivers did not come out on Saturday as expected. They are waiting the result of i< secret ballot of miners who divided on the expediency of calling out the engine-drivers.
