EXPLOSION IN A CHURCH

The festivities attending the triumphal entry into Guadalajara, Mexico, of General Madcro, leader -of the late insurrection, were quite overshadowed on September 27 by a terrible explosion of rockets and bombs. The disaster occurred in a church, which was crowded at the time, and in the panic that ensued four persons were killed and 15 others so seriously burned or otherwise injured that they may die. Curiously enough, General Madero had a similar experience when making his triumphal entry into the Mexican capital itself last June, the big earthquake that occurred at that time, with all the devastation it caused, completely marring what was to have been an occasion of great rejoicing.
