THE SHIPPING TROUBLE
THE BREEZE'S OFFICERS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Cliristchurch, Last Night. The Canterbury Steam Shipping Company's steamer Breeze arrived at Lyttelton at 8 a.m. this morning from the Bluff. All hands were paid off this afternoon, only the master and one engineer standing by. The vessel will be laid up until such time as a settlement of the shipping dispute is reached. PASSING IT ON. Wanganui, Last Night. As a consequence of the shipping strike goods have to be railed to Wanganui. Owing to the extra, cost the wholesale houses announce an increase in prices of general provisions.
