Kensington, Under-Secretary for L'inds. gave evidence as to the area of Crown land that might be influenced by the proposed extension and as to the general character of the country. The immediate area cf Crown land to benefit would be llifi.SOO acres, inside a radius of 30 miles, outside this 184,44-1 acres would ■benefit in a secondary wav.
