JERSEY CATTLE.

SALE OF ALR. T. LUXTOX'S HERD. Mr. Newton King conducted a successful sale of pedigree Jersey cattle on account of Air. T. -Jviixtoii" at the farm, j Waitara road, on Wednesday. There j was a large attendance of Jersey I breeders and fanciers from all parts of I the province, and the prices realised j proved conclusively that the Jersey has not lost any of hs popularity as a dairy cow. Grannie's Girl topped the market. Air. Luxton had a reserve on Grannie's Girl and a yearling bull, Grannie's Campanile Sultan (Campanile Sultan—Grannie's Girl), of lflOgns each. The bidding for Grannie's Girl ceased at 7.">gns, 'hut Mr. B. Griffiths, her former owner, eventually took her at the reserve.
