Xicholls, whereby the hitter's oil prospecting rights are transferred to the former, lias been signed. Xo one dare venture to prophecy the future of our district field.-; but the results of the surface scratching in the one or two spots disiurbrd about here have been sufficient to bring underwritten capital in very large sums to the credit of the company. and its expenditure will soon be an established fact. Let us hope the capital may quickly find response pulses in the oil wells below, when a new era will soon be upon us.
