BOWLING.
NORTHERN ASSOCIATION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The annual meeting of the Northern Bowling Association was held to-nioht Mr. J. S. Keith, president, being in the chair. ° In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, the chairman expressed a wish that when the association celebrated its twenty-first anniversary, there would be a united lla-rr for the whole of the Do-minion, or at any rate for the whole of the associations of the North Island. The committee had journeyed to Christchurch a few weeks ago m connection with the suwestcd amalgamation between the Northern Association and the New Zealand Association. The result was shown in the report.
The report and balance-sheet were adopted.
The. election of officers resultedPresident, Mr. J. S. Keith; vice-presi-dent, Mr. Maurice Casey (Auckland); hon. auditor, Mr. 11. F. Allan; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. J. Roberts. The 19F2 tournament was fixed to open on Monday, January 8, in Wellington. The president, secretary and Mr. Brunskill were appointed a sub-commit-tee to draw up a tournament programme.
WEST END CLUB. The commitee of the West End Bowling Club has made arrangements for the green to be in order for Thursday, so that members may have a roll up should the weather be suitable. The green will not be officially opened for a few weeks, and notice of date of opening will be given through the local press when the commitee considers the green is in order fn stand the full play for fhe season.
