TRAFALGAR WINS TILE BIG MONEY. Received' 8, 7.52 p.m. ffydney, October 8. The day was line and warm and there was a large attendance for the fourth day of the A.J.C. meeting. Results:— High-weight Handicap—Blast 0.13, 1; Lady Oliver 8.12, 2; Barley Water 9.2, 3. Eighteen starters, including Sharpshooter. Won by a length and a half, a length between second and third. Time, lmin 13% sec. Waverley Handicap.-Sandbath 7.8, 1; Mutilation 7.0, 2; King Bee 7.5, 3. There were eleven starters. Won .by four I lengths, a neck between second and third. Time, Stain l%sec. Dowling Steeple. —Hautapu 11.0, 1; Loch Fyne 11.0, 2; Leah Kleshna lil.ti, 3. Minora also started but fell. The winner led 1 all the •way. >Leah Kleshna ran off. Won by half a furlong, the same distance 'between second and third. Time,. Gmin 50% sec. Members' Handicap.—St. Medoc 7.] 2, 1; Wila.fi 8.2, 2; Malheur 7.10, 3. Thirteen starters. Won iby a length, half a length between second and third. Time, lmin 55sec.
Rjaiud'wi'ek Plate.—Trafalgar (Smith) !).7. 1; C'iuloniii (Pike)' !).0, -2; Bridge (Mcfjachlan) !>.3, 3. Eight starters. Britain, Bibbenluke and Bridge jumped out. Bibbenluke, accompanied by Crown Grant, led .for the. first time past the post. Trafalgar and Posades a length behind. At the mile and a quarter Crown Grant showed the way to Trafalgar, Prince Foote and Posades. Along the back Trafalgar took command, and at the half-mile led by a good length from Bridge and Posades. He galloped into the straight two lengths ahead of Bridge and Cadonia. The latter then spurted, but was unable to catch Trafalgar, who won a splendid race by a length and half, Bridge five lengths further iback. Prince Foote and Bibbenluke brought up the rear. Time, 3min 27sec. Final Handicap.—Kuringai 8.4, 1; Woad 7.11. 2: of Marsh, 0.5, 3. Fifteen started, including Sharpshooter. Won .by a head, half a length .between second and third.
SOUTH AUSTRALIAN DERBY. Received S. a..> p.m. Adelaide, October 8. The South Australian Derby resulted: Sanskrit 1, Banffshire 2, It 3. There were eight starters. Won by a length and a half. There were two lengths bntween second and third. Time, 2min 41'/.sec.
