INGLEWOOD BACON CO.
The following is the twelfth annual report of the Inglewood Co-operative Bacon Curing Co., Ltd., for the past year:—Your directors have again the pleasure of laying before you the annual balance-sheet and accounts of the company, which are of a satisfactory nature. During the year the company has paid out to shareholders the sum of £533 14e Id in excess of the market price of pigs. A dividend of 5 per cent, on share capital, amounting to £154 15s, has also been authorised to be paid, and a balance of £l2 14s is brought forward. Considerable improvement* Mid additions have been made to the factory buildings and plant in order to provide for increasing requirements. An improvement has also been -effected in the method of treating the carcases, which has resulted in a largely increased demand for the company's manufactured article at enhanced values. During the past year the company has established receiving stations at Toko and Douglas, and it has been decided to establish one at Stratford immediately. The outlook for the >ile of factory products is very promising, and your directors would' urge on all suppliers the importance .of keeping up a maximum supply of pigs, the price of which they believe will be highly remunerative during the coming season. You will be required to elect three directors in place of Messrs. Yeates, Davidson and Morton, who retire in rotation, and aire eligible for re-election; aud an auditor in place of Mr. Hopson, who again offers his services.
