THE HOME RULE BILL. By O.ble —Press Association—Copyright. London, October 5. ■lt is reported in Dublin that the Homo Rule Pill provides for a gift of ten millions to start the new Parliament, and that the Government's chief difficulty relates to the attendance of Irish members at Westminster. Mr. Lyttelton. at a Unionist demonstration at Selkirk, discussing Home Rule, said that so long as they had an opportunity of full and fair debate they should rely on argument and not resort to menaces of force.
LIBERALISM AND SOCIALISM. London, October 5. Mr. Churchill, in a speech at Dundee, advised his constituents to run a second Liberal against the Labor member at the next election. Mr. Churchill declared it was no good pretending that Liberalism was Socialism. The latter attacked capital, while the former attacked abuses and monopoly.
LABOR ANGRY WITH MR. CHURCHILL. ' Received 7, 12,.i a.m. London. October (I. Mr. Bowermau. M.P., said that Mr. Churchill's declaration was important, and one which the Labor Executive must take cognisance of. Mr. Ramsay Maedonald, M.P.. declared that if Dundee Liberals wanted two candidates let them. Labor defeated them before, and would do so again. Mr. Phil Snowden, M.P., said Labor had no right to complain of Liberal opposition. Mr. G. Clynes said that if Liberals adopted Mr. Churchill's attitude there would be reprisals.
