MEW PLYMOUTH WOOL, HIDE, SHEEPSKIN & TALLOW SALES. L. A. NOLAX AND CO."S REPORT. On September 2(ith nil., we held oui usual four-weekly sale of the aliove. The catalogue comprised a good entry in all classes. Superior cow-hides showed a slight advance, whilst average quality were about .the same as previous sale. Faulty and damaged declined a little. Ox hides found good competition at' late rates. Calfskins were easier. Wool and dry sheepskins dropped in sympathy with English markets. Tallow advanced £1 per ton. There was a good attendance of buyers, and all classes of biirds found a ready sale at satisfactory prices. There is a scarcity of table birds and we advise vendors to bring forward any they have for sale. Good prices are also being obtained for ducklings. We quote:—(Hens, fat, 2s, 2a Id to 2sr 3d; ordinary, Is ad, Is B<l to Is 10d; cockerels, table, 2s Id to 2s 4d; smaller, Is Id to Is 8d; roosters, Is 9d to 2s 6d; ducks, Is lid to 2s 4d; ducklings, 6d to Is 4d; broods. 8s to fls; turkey gobblers, 8s to 9s; hens, 3s 6d to 4s Od. In the mart we held a clean up sale and were successful in disposing of every line offered. Fruit. —There has not been much offering during the past week. Consignments of Kelson and American apples arrived to a good market. Island oranges realised high prices. We quote: Apples, American Gravensteins, 16s Cd to 17s 3d; Nelson stunners, 13s Od to 14s 3d; seconds, lis (id; Wa.shingtons, 10s Cd to lis 6d; Nelson Beauties, 14s to 14s 3d; Island oranges, repacked, 11» Cd to 13s.

WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. Poultry.—At the mart on .Saturday wo had a large entry, about 200 birds being penned. Prices realised showed an advance on the previous week, ducks, ducklings and table birds being in good demand. We still have an unsatisfied demand for all elates of poultry. We quote:—Hens, old. Is lid to 2s; young, 2s 2d to 2s "d; cockerels, 2s to 2s 4d; ducks, 2s "d to 3s; geese, 4s Od; turkey hens, f>s 3d; chicks, Sd; bantams Sd; turkey gobblers, Ss; ducklings, lO'/jd to Is 7d according to age. In the mart .we a!so disposed of shelter trees, shrubs and the usual auction sundries. We also sold on account of the estate of the late Mr. T. I'. Brooking all his carpenter's tools, etc., and prices realised were very satisfactory. Furniture.—On Wednesday, on account of Mr. Dallas, at his residence in Dawson street, we held a clearing sale of all his household furniture, etc. Bidding was spirited throughout, and the articles offered met with keen competition. Fruit.—During the week this has been in short supply, apples, lemons and oranges being the only fruit on hano.
