Tin* third day of the A.J.C. meeting wis agnin favored with fine weather and a large attendance. Results: iSeeond Hurdles.—Jules 10.9, 1; Eivnisbelle 12.13, 2; Fiddlestring 10.0, 3. There were ten starters, including 'Pakau. Won by a length, six lengths between second and third. Pakau fell. Time, 4min io Yi sec. Craven Plate.—Lady Medallist (Hairnet t) 8.13, 1; Malt King (Black) 9.4, 2; Aurofodina (Smith) 9.0, 3. Eleven starters. Cisco jumped to the front, followed by Malt King, Beverage and Philio. When settled down, Comedy King took charge from Cisco, Beverage and Malt King being the nearest attendants. Cisco was again in front at the nine furlong post, and at the six furlongs was one length in front of Beverage, with Aun-ofodina, Comedy King, Los Angelas and Ijady Medallist in that order. There was little change at the half-mile, except that Beverage ran second, with Malt King in third place. Aurofodiiua showed the way round the bend well into the straight from Cisco, Beverage, Comedy King and Lady Medallist. Below the Leger Lady Medallist put in a claim, and getting a clear run on the rails landed a clever victory by half a length from Malt King, with Anrofodina a length away third. Comedy King was fourth, and Los Angelos finished in the ruck. Time, 2min (i'/osee. Suburban Handicap.—Lager 8.1, 1; Knraugai 8.4, 2; Bandon Lad 8.0, 3. There were sixteen starters, including Sharpshooter. Chaste and Full Sail. Blairgour and Volsloane together made the running well into the straight. The placed horses got together at the distance, and after a good linish Lager won by a neck, a length between second and third. Time, lmin 38y 2 sec. Grantham Stakes.—Ladies' Man 1, Popinjay 2, Medoc 3. Nine starters, including Peirene. The quickest to move were Bunbury, Malt Blossom and Popinjay. The last-named took command before the six furlong post was reached, and led into the straight clear of St. Medoc and Ladies' Man. The winner came with a rush at the Leger, and after a clattering finish won by a head. St. Medou was a good third. Time, lmin : 40'/osec. Cimcrack Stakes. —Ventura 1, Simmeer 2. Anrifer 3. There were tweiitysix starters. The race needs little description. Tripple was the first to show <mt, but Ventura almost immediately took charge and led round to the bend and into the straight, and was never overhauled. Flaxmere Hack Handicap. (1 furlongs. --Mere-mere 1, Gold Circle 2, San Pluie 3. Also started: Peacemaker, Vega and Mangaroa. A great race home resulted in Meremore landing the verdict by inches, Gold Circle was a neck in front of San Pluie, the resit being close up. Time. Iniin 15 2-ssee.
