Trial StaWes.—Crown Grant, 7.5, 1; Ecuator. 7.0, 2; Piastre, 7.5, 3. Fourteen started. Malt Blossom, with Midnight Sun, .Piastee and Aphaea, made the running for the first half mile. Malt Blossom was first into the straight. Crown Grant came up below the Leger, a good finish being witnessed. Crown Grant wont by a length, a neck between second and third. Time, 2min. lOsee. A.J.C. Grist was the quickest on his legs, followed by Volsloane and llorambil. When settled down. Bandon Lad took charge from Volsloane, Grist and Boranibil. The order for six furlongs was: Bandon. Ladies' man, Volsloane. Grist. Blairsronr and Lady Medallist. At the half-"mtle Volsloane was in front of Bandon. the nearest attendant. Volsloane led round the bend from Bandon, Medallist third. Medallist conducted the field into the straight, followed by Volsloane, Bandon and Boramil. Before reaching the straight. Medallist cried enough. Volsloane jumped to the front, hotly pursued by Didus, and won by a length, Didus similarly defeating Bendon. Then came TTartfeli, Medallist, Orist and Miss Corelli, with Mundosc last. From a good start, Beverage jumped to the front from Eyeglass. At the mile Fveglass was in charge by two lengths in front of Beverj age and Britain. Before reaching the ihend Aurofodina came to the front from Eyeglass. Comedy King and Aurofodina showed the way to the straight a length from Comedy and Malt King. It was a ' good finish.
