(From Our Own Correspondent). The Rev. T. Fee, of Wellington, spent Sunday and Monday in Inglewood. He Is travelling the country iu the interests' of the Xo4iceihe Party. On Sunday morning, at the Wesleyan Church, and in tlit* owning at the Piv-by terinn Church, the reverend gentleman preached to fairly good congregutions. On Monday night he give an address to a full house, dealing mainly with the working of nolieensc in "dry" areas. The address was most interesting and instructive. On Tuesday evening the .Salvation Army had a ".special'' here in tlx; person of •Colonel Birkcushaw, who gave an address on the ''Life and work of General Booth." The chair was taken hy his Worship the Mayor, who wa.s Mipported on the platform by several members of the Borough Council, also the town clerk.

The Colonel started from the time when the General left the Methodist Church and went to London, describing the birth of the Salvation Army on Mile End waste, the long uphill struggle against bitter persecution and misrepresentation, leading up to the present time, when kings and princes receive the

••Grand Old 'Man" of the Army with honor. At the close a vote of tlmnks was proposed .by the Itev. Richards and carried by acclamation. A vote of thanks to the chairman was moved by Councillor G. Young, and the meeting closed by the singing of the Benediction. The Boy Scouts were present at lnoth these lectures and listened with great interest to both. Their appearand; and conduct on both occasions was most creditable to the troop. At a special meeting oi the Council on Wednesday night, it was decided to proceed with the scheme for taking over the electric light ami the building of a now Town Hall.
