1 SUMMARY AND FORECAST. r By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is the Meteorological Office's weather summary and forecast: — The barometer has risen in the south but fallen slowly in the northern districts. Rain has fallen in most parts of the country, and snow and hail in the south. Southerly winds have prevailed, strong to gale in parts. The present indications are for strong southerly winds, with cold and showery weather and a slowly rising barometer, but a fall will probably follow shortly.
