H* thought the clubs could raise sufficient money to keep a maw in charge of tho ground. Several crieketers had also offered monetary assistance. It was urged that if anything was to ibc done in tho matter it should be done immediately, A man .should be ,put on right away, and there was a full month's work on the ground. The outlay lor tho season would be about £SO. After considerable discussion, it was resolved that the New Plymouth Club contribute £3 and the other club* .C2 each. This would give sufficient funds to put a man on to get the ground in order during the next month. A commitbee was set up, consisting of Messrs. Whittle, E. Avery, and (iwillim, to secure the services of a man and superviso the work during the next month. Delegates present were requested to confer with their clubs and supporters to see what amount could be guaranteed and collected, and also to formulate a. scheme for taking over the ground am! keeping it in order.
