And the centre of a depression shows this evening off Kaikoura. Westerly winds have prevailed, and increased generally. The weather has been very ', changeable in most parts of the country, ' land stohny about Foveaux Strait. PreBent indications are for strong northerly and westerly winds northward of New Plymouth and Napier, amd high westerly and southerly winds elsewhere.
