Invercargill, Last Night. The fourteenth interprovincial Rugby match, Wellington v. Southland, was played this afternoon in cold, windy weather. The visitors were much too clever for the local men, and won by 27 to 9. Southland's forwards for the most part held their own, but the backs compared unfavorably with the visitors. In the first spell Wellington put up 18 points to 3. Evensong Wilson, F. Roberta and Cunningham scoring tries, and E. Roberts converting one, and McFarlane another. Southland began attacking strongly in the second half, and Mitchell scored, Martin failing with the kick. Wellington then took command,' and 1 added 11 points, Roberts, Cunniugha/n and Evenson scoring, and Houlihan converting one try.
