(From Our Own Correspondent). The weather of late has been anything but pleasant and interferes with all outside work,,though such crops as oats>. biirlcy, etc., and the grass show remarkable growth. Farmers report that the cows are coming in rapidly, and the milk supply to the Durham road creamery is increasing by leaps and bounds. At a special meeting of the Durham Uoad iFurniers' Club, held on Tuesday evening last, there was a full muster and several visitors were also present. Considerable interest was evinced in the forthcoming gcnerfll election of directors of the Maketawa Co., and after a great deal of discussion on dairy and factory matters in general. Messrs. Hodges. Kickard and ,T. -Dodunski were selected as nominees for Durham road; .1. Hall for central; and T, H. Jones for Norfolk road. Mr. J. B. Simpson, notwithstanding great pressure, declined nomination excepting under certain conditions. Tf the interest in factory matters \r maintained things are likely to hum later on. but--and there hangs a tale!

At the meeting to be held on Monday evening next the following report and balance-sheet will be submitted to share-holders-:—"Your directors have pleasure in presenting their sixteenth annual report and balance-sheet. You will be asked to elect four directors; two in place of Hrowii and Jones, who retire by rotation and are -eligible for re-election: and two in place of Messrs.
