The death of Frederick AlcSweenev, of Opuuakc, took place at the New Plymouth hospital on Saturday, aged 27 years. The deceased was liorn in ()punake and was the eldest son of the late Sergeant U. AleSweeney (of the Imperial Army). A wire from Nvlson states that the death occurred last night of Air. Arthur S. Collyns, a very early colonist, and one tiflie a member of the House of Representatives and Nelson Provincial Council. The late Air. Collyns. who was 7!) years of age, arrived in Xelson in 1*49.
