THE WEATHER.
SUMMARY AND JOBEOAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellingtons Last Night. Following is the Meteorological Office's weather summary and forecast: —The barometer rose during the night, with moderate to strong south-westerly winds and cold and showery weather. Fair to cloudy conditions have prevailed, but improving generally. Present indications are for moderate to strong westerly winds, changing to northerly after about sixteen hours. The barometer is unsteady, and is likely to fall in the south, for a westerly area of low pressure of moderate intensity as due to pass on Friday. Pair to cloudy and rather milder weather may be looked for during the next twenty-four hours.
