SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At a meeting of the Wellington Education Board to-day, Mr. Vile moved: "That a committee be set up to confer with the Education Department, the Masterton Trust Lands Trustees, ami agricultural bodies interested on the question of the establishment in the Wa.irarapa of a school of agriculture." Mr. Field seconded the motion. Mr. Buchanan, in supporting the proposal, reminded the Board that a good deal of money was being spent .by other countries in agricultural advancement, and aicroas the sea in Australia there were many opportunities offering to intending farmers to acquire knowledge. The motion was carried. STRANDED VESSELS SOLD. Wanganui, Tuesday. The stranded bairquentine Carla, which was .blown ashore a week ago, was sold by auction to-day and bought by llatrick and Company for £290. The general opinion is that she will be refloated.
The schooner Pelotas, which lies on the same beach and was sold for about £SO, is also likely to be refloated. After being embedded in the sand for about three months she was afloat this,morning, the purchasers having pumped the water out of the holds.
