THIS SEASON'S TRANSACTIONS. From an authoritative source (says the Dominion) it is to lie gathered that . the total quantity of butter and cheese secured by sale and consignment by the various firms for the current season is approximately 30,087 tons. Of this butter comprises 14.028 tons, and cheese 22,059 tons. The actual quantity of butter and cheese imported into the United Kingdom in the past season (according to Wedded and Co.'s Review) comprised 15,852 ions butter, and 20,250 tons cheese, or a total of 30,105 tons. Thus the quantity contracted to be sold and consigned this season is practically the same, except that more cheese is to he sent, and loss butter.
